This week students in G3-5 really got stuck into their invasion games unit. Students inquired into how a team can keep control of an object to help them move together into the opposition zone to score points. You can see some examples of that below. Our first week back was also a disrupted one due to a staff PD day and also the Diwali holiday. Classes in G3-5 began their Invasion Games unit. You can see our central idea below. Our final week before the holidays was a short week due to our UN Day on Friday. We lost some PE lessons on Wednesday & Thursday for UN practices. Some classes began to update their PE Portfolios and while some other classes played games of Capture the Flag. Another fantastic week in physical education at ISS. This week Grades 3-5 continued their target games unit and as you can see below took part in some 10 pin bowling as well as Badminton Golf. In both of these games students were aiming to send an object towards the target in different ways. K1-G2 looked at how they can throw and catch different types of balls and what the best way to throw a large & small ball is. You can see them experimenting with them in the videos below. One more week until the break so have an active & fun long weekend! |
